Corona warning app becomes “certificate wallet”
Those who have recovered can now also add a corresponding digital certificate to the app – as well as certificates from up to three other people.
The project team from Deutsche Telekom and SAP has released version 2.5 of the Corona warning app. Those who have recovered can integrate a digital certificate into it, which serves as official proof.
As with vaccination certificates, users have to go to the “Certificates” tab and select “Add Certificate”. You can then scan the QR code that you received from your family doctor. Vaccinated, tested and genesis patients can now add their digital proof to the app – for themselves and for up to three other people such as family members. The app becomes a “certificate wallet”, writes the development team .
At the corresponding checkpoints, such as at the airport, the validity of the respective certificate must be checked by scanning the QR code with the CovPass Check app or the check app of the respective country and checking the identity card, they emphasize. In version 2.5, the statistics now also show key figures on the progress of vaccinations in Germany.
